Aside from the embarrassing title, this has actually proven to be a great resource for my family.Gave this book to my mom, 2 years later she got divorced after realizing what an ass my dad was, called him out on it, he got really angry and refused to change. Now she's dating a really nice guy who actually treats her well and they're going through this book together. Not exactly what I had in mind but my mom and the sane people in my family are MUCH better off now than 2 years ago so... thanks?

I purchased the audiobook as I can generally get more "reading" done while I'm driving, working out/outside, etc.Very good listen for anyone (especially men, but not only for men) that is in a relationship, but especially for married couples. I really appreciate Dr Leman's approach and viewpoint (from a Christian, God-driven viewpoint).The first disc includes a live recording from one of his presentations, and was very humorous and enjoyable for my wife and I to listen to. Many good points and thought-provoking questions and stories in that live presentation. He reminds me of Charlie "Tremendous" Jones in the fact of his delivery is very much about getting you to "think and realize" instead of "hear and memorize".The most important thing that this book/audiobook has gotten me to do is to think and start communicating better to my wife, and opened the door for us to be able to start verbalizing feelings, opinions, etc. in a meaningful way.He goes over many things that are often-time the case with certain personalities, regarding birth order, men vs. women differences, etc.; all the while reminding the listener that these are generalities. But it definitely is helping me understand my role as Husband/Father and I think it's helped my wife understand some of my quirks and how to communicate with me as well.

Well written and good advice. I'd recommend to couples pre-marriage and those that have been married for a long time.

Great book for any man who is truly trying to understand the inner workings of his wife. It explains how women think and respond differently than men. Even if you don't quite understand why, it equips you with the information to act upon and, hopefully, create a greater sense of sexual fulfillment for you both.

I love this book and would recommend it to any married couple. I feel it goes hand in hand with his other book "Sheet Music" both of which point out the importance of sex in a marriage. Highly recommended for any married couple, either those in a healthy or unhealthy marriage. This book could save a troubled marriage or make a good marriage better. Awesome book, Love it.

I had originally bought this book because a college professor of mine had really recommended it and found the overall advice in the book to be helpful. Knowing that he gives marital counseling himself, I knew that I had to check it out and see if it would help me and my boyfriend out. We ended up reading chapters of it to each other at night in bed. Now we have yet to finish the entire book (although it is a fairly short book), but I'll be totally honest, we forgot about continuing to read through it! Not the books fault though! I can't speak for my boyfriend, because it's been a while since we had talked about the book personally, but I think that it gave me a good deal of insight about the different dynamic that couples tend to display.I do happen to have a degree in psychology myself (a bachelors, nothing crazy), and I found the book thus far to be helpful and very interesting, but not completely new to me personally. There is a great deal of overlap in between the things I have heard and learned in my psychology classes, but I found this to be a good companion (no pun intended) to my psych courses, and a way to share it with my boyfriend and give us both an outlet to talk about our feelings and to ask each-other about each chapter.In summary, if you are already a psychology major and have taken marriage and family type courses, you might not get a lot of new information from this book, but it is a fun one to read and share with your spouse or significant other, and it's one that I'd like to reference and come back to.

Cliff Notes: your intimacy issues have been caused entirely by the male partner who is necessarily a lazy and incommunicative slob.Better is "The Touch-Me-Not Woman" by Mazzapica.
